Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery Fellowship Program

Overview of the Program

The Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery Fellowship in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center offers a broad clinical experience with robust research and teaching opportunities.
In addition to the management of complex inflammatory sinonasal disease, the program provides extensive experience in sinonasal benign and malignant tumors as well as skull base and orbital pathologies with each fellow participating in approximately 200 surgical cases.
As an Instructor in Otolaryngology, the fellow is actively involved in the rhinology education of residents and medical students. Research opportunities abound with a long-standing skull base registry, anatomy laboratory and translational research collaboration.

The fellowship benefits from multidisciplinary interactions with neurosurgery, oculoplastic surgery, neuroradiology, and head and neck oncology (otolaryngology, radiation therapy and medical oncology).
