Emergency Department at UPMC Hamot

UPMC Hamot's Emergency Department offers comprehensive care for minor and major injuries or illnesses and serious traumas — 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Emergency Department is the largest in the Erie region and has:

• A dedicated cardiac ER for diagnosing and treating heart attacks.
• Its own radiology suite, including a high-speed CT scanner, to expedite diagnostic testing and allow for quicker treatment decisions.
• An experienced emergency and trauma team of doctors, nurses, technicians, case managers, and support staff who pledge to deliver world-class care.

Our goal at UPMC Hamot is to provide you with high quality, timely emergency care. If you're having a minor emergency and not arriving by ambulance, come in the main Emergency Department entrance on French Street.
