WHAT: The University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health Department of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology will host Michael T. Osterholm, Ph.D., M.P.H., director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, in a virtual video presentation this week. Osterholm has been named to President-elect Joe Biden’s 13-member coronavirus task force. 

 

Osterholm’s one-hour presentation is titled “The COVID Pandemic: The Evolving Reality” and will walk viewers through the epidemiology of SARS-CoV-2 infection, the public health strategies that can be used to reduce transmission and his thoughts on how the world likely will look one year from now as a result of the pandemic.
