New: Tuition Loan Forgiveness Program

Introducing the Tuition Loan Forgiveness Program for new enrollees beginning in Fall 2023 2024.

New enrollees can qualify for up to $21,000 in tuition loan forgiveness with UPMC Schools of Nursing.

UPMC Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, a hospital-based diploma school of nursing, was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1893. Today, the school is a part of UPMC Mercy.

UPMC Mercy remains the only faith-based health care provider in the city of Pittsburgh. UPMC Mercy provides a full range of services, including designation as a Level I Regional Resource Trauma Center and as a Primary Stroke Center.

UPMC Mercy Hospital School of Nursing is an integral part of UPMC Mercy. The school has graduated more than 6,200 nurses and has a long-standing reputation in the tri-state area for the high performance of its graduates.

2025 Application Deadlines:

Summer 2025 (16 month program only): February 1, 2025
Classes will begin on May 5th, 2025.

Fall 2025 (Full time 16 and 24 month programs): June 1, 2025
Classes will begin on September 2, 2025.
