Christopher E. Larson, DMD, MD

Christopher E. Larson, DMD, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and is president of the UPMC Hamot Medical Staff.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he moved to the Erie area at a young age. Dr. Larson graduated from Girard High School and attended Alfred University in New York.
Dr. Larson graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine then completed an anesthesia residency for dentists at the University of Pittsburgh.
He then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where he graduated Cum Laude. He did a transitional year internship at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh and then completed his anesthesia residency at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Larson is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Before coming to UPMC Hamot Dr. Larson previously held positions in anesthesia at the Eye and Ear Hospital in Pittsburgh, UPMC Shadyside, and Windber Medical Center.
Dr. Larson believes that compassion, dedication, and a positive attitude are essential traits that all medical professionals should have and should strive to develop.
