The cafeteria is located on the first floor, green zone.
Weekday hours: 6:30 to 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Weekend hours: 6:30 to 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., 3 to 6:30 p.m.
The Garden View Cafe, located on the first floor, overlooks Magee's courtyard. The area is furnished with indoor and outdoor seating, so that in pleasant weather visitors can dine in a park-like setting. Hours are weekdays, 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and weekends, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Room Service gives you the option of ordering the food you want, when you want it. With Room Service, you may choose from a wide variety of healthy selections, including a fine dining menu featuring gourmet items.
If you wish, you may invite your family and visitors to enjoy a meal with you in your room.
Gift Shop
The Garden View Gift Shop is located on the first floor, just off the Main Lobby. Hours are weekdays, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and weekends, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Language and Special Needs
If you have trouble reading, need an interpreter, or have any other special needs, please call Social Work at 412-641-4255 for assistance.
Lost and Found
The lost and found service is operated through the Safety, Security, and Parking department. Call 412-641-4191 to ask about a lost or found item.
Mail
Mail is delivered weekdays to inpatient units. If mail for you arrives after you are discharged, it will be forwarded to your home address. Mail sent to you at the hospital should be addressed as follows:

Patient Relations
During your stay, if you have questions, concerns, or problems, a patient representative can help you. Call Patient Relations at 412-641-4579.

If you have any concerns about patient care or safety in one of our hospitals, please contact the hospital’s Patient Relations office or the hospital’s management.

Smoking
Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC is a smoke-free facility. All patient rooms and hallways have smoke detectors. Ask your nurse about the designated visitor smoking areas outside.
Spiritual Care
A Roman Catholic chaplain is on staff and will visit patients of all denominations. Patients may request a visit by a priest, rabbi, or minister by calling 412-641-4525.
Your Medical Record and Privacy Information
At Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, we are committed to protecting the privacy of your medical information — health, treatment, or payment information that identifies you — as federal and state laws require. Please review our Notice of Privacy Practice. This notice explains how we meet this commitment.
To authorize Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC to release your medical records to yourself, physician or insurance company, or if you are requesting medical records on behalf of someone else, you must complete the Authorization for the Release of Protected Health Information Form (PDF).

- Fill out the form. Please type or print neatly. Be sure to complete both Part 1 and Part 2.
- Sign and date the form.
- Make a copy for yourself.
- Send the original to:

After we receive your request, we will send you an invoice for the cost of the records you requested. You should receive this invoice seven to 10 days after we receive your request.
