How to Apply for an Administrative Fellowship

Requirements

Interested applicants, prior to starting the fellowship program, must have a master's degree* in:

  • Business Administration (MBA)
  • Health Administration (MHA)
  • Public Health (MPH)
  • A health- or business-related field from an accredited graduate program

Candidates must also possess excellent analytic and communication skills, and should be motivated and self-starting.

*Candidates finishing master's degree programs requiring an administrative residency after completing classroom curriculum are eligible to apply. Accepted candidates are required to complete both years of the administrative fellowship program.

After You Apply: The Selection Process

Hospital Fellowship

Step Date
After reviewing applications, UPMC will contact selected applicants to participate in first-round phone interviews. Oct. 3-4
Approximately 12 applicants will be chosen to participate in second-round video conference interviews. Oct. 10-11
Approximately 6 applicants will be selected to visit Pittsburgh to participate in on-site interviews with the UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside executive team. Oct. 21-22
UPMC will notify successful candidates of their acceptance to the UPMC Administrative Fellowship Program. TBD

PSD Fellowship

Step Date
