From the east: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 57, Pittsburgh/Monroeville, to Interstate 376 west. Follow I-376 to Exit 3B, Oakland (Bates Street). Follow Bates Street. Turn left onto McKee Place. Turn right onto Forbes Avenue. Turn right onto Meyran Avenue. The parking garage is located on the left.

From the north: Take Interstate 79 south to Interstate 279 south (Exit 72, two miles south of Wexford/Route 910). Near downtown Pittsburgh, take Exit 8A to Interstate 579,and follow signs to Interstate 376 east via the Boulevard of the Allies. Take the Forbes Avenue/Oakland exit left; do not continue to Interstate 376 east. Bear right onto the Forbes Avenue access ramp, and follow Forbes Avenue. Turn right onto Meyran Avenue. The parking garage is located on the left.

From the south: Take Interstate 79 north to Exit 59A. Take 376 east and exit at Forbes Avenue/Oakland (Exit 2A). Follow Forbes Avenue. Turn right onto Meyran Avenue. The parking garage is located on the left.

From the west: From the Pennsylvania Turnpike, take Exit 10 to Interstate 376 east. Follow I-376 east past the Pittsburgh International Airport and through the Fort Pitt Tunnel. Take Exit 2A (Forbes/Oakland Exit). Follow Forbes Avenue. Turn right onto Meyran Avenue. The parking garage is located on the left.

Parking

UPMC garages are conveniently located near the major clinical facilities. You may park your car yourself or take advantage of the convenient valet service. Valet service operates from the UPMC Presbyterian driveway and is for patients of and visitors to UPMC Presbyterian and Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. Valet service is available from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays. Valet service for Falk Medical Building is available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays from the driveway behind Falk. There is no valet service for the Montefiore or Liliane S. Kaufmann Building garages.

Shuttle schedules, which include limited weekend service, are available at the information desks in UPMC Presbyterian, UPMC Montefiore, and Falk. If you have questions about these services, call Parking Operations at (412) 647-3194.

The Port Authority (PAT) of Allegheny County offers convenient bus service to and within Oakland. Route schedules and maps are available in the lobbies of UPMC Presbyterian and UPMC Montefiore. If you have questions, call the PAT customer service line at (412) 442-2000.  

Pittsburgh International Airport

Many major airlines fly into Pittsburgh International Airport. Taxi service from the airport to UPMC Presbyterian is available. Shuttle service also is available on Express Shuttle USA. Express Shuttle stops at the Holiday Inn Select on Lytton Avenue in Oakland. Express Shuttle service also is available from other Oakland hotels. Evening hours vary.

Port Authority Transit also provides one-way transportation between the airport and Oakland via the Route 28X, Airport Flyer bus. Buses from the airport to Oakland run seven days a week, every 15 to 30 minutes, approximately 6 a.m. to midnight. Board outside the lower-level baggage claim at the walkway marked with a blue strip. In Oakland, buses leave from the corner of Forbes and Morewood avenues (near Carnegie Mellon University), from Fifth Avenue at Bigelow Boulevard (near University of Pittsburgh Cathedral of Learning), and from Fifth Avenue at Darragh Street (near UPMC Montefiore), seven days a week, every 15 to 30 minutes, 5 a.m. to 10:45 p.m.
