FICA Refunds — January 1996 through March 2005

FICA Update

In January 2013, the perfected FICA claims submitted to the IRS were finally approved by the IRS. UPMC has not to date received all moneys for all years of refund. Upon receipt of all funds former residents will be issued checks for all appropriate periods. Payments will include principal and interest.

At this point our best estimate as to when the refunds will be issued is sometime before June 30, 2013. However, this is predicated on the receipt of all due moneys from the IRS. UPMCs intermediary is in continual contact with the IRS.
