Hand Surgery Program

The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UPMC offers comprehensive skeletal and soft tissue treatment for hand and wrist conditions. We provide world-class expertise in the plastic surgical and orthopaedic treatment of hand and wrist disorders in a hospital setting patients know and trust.

We provide comprehensive care for the upper extremity, including treatments for:

We treat all traumatic injuries in the hand, wrist, and forearm, including:

  • Fractures
  • Tendon injuries
  • Ligament strains and dislocations
  • Blood vessel and nerve injuries
  • Burns
  • Amputated digits and limbs

Our Hand and Wrist Experts

Our team of three full-time specialists in hand surgery provides comprehensive adult and pediatric services at our locations in the Oakland area of Pittsburgh and suburbs. As faculty at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, our physicians are leaders in utilizing innovative surgical techniques and treatments for hand and wrist injuries and disorders.
