The Center for Bloodless Medicine and Surgery at UPMC hosts seminars* for anyone interested in bloodless medicine and surgery.

This seminar is geared to patients who decline transfusions and discusses items such as:

  • Suggestions for how to express your wishes to your physician
  • The differences between bloodless medicine and patient blood management
  • Recent developments in bloodless medicine and patient blood management
